Key points
- Applied workshops taught on your own data, documents and system.
- Four areas: applied workshops, ERP systems, current accounting standards, financial analysis.
- Raises the capability of the finance team you already pay for.
- Every session ends with a task performed by the team, not a certificate.
- A written scope, timeline and fee proposal is issued after one assessment visit.
Training here means the team can do something afterwards that it could not do before — not that it attended a course. Every workshop runs on your own accounts, your own documents and your own system, and ends with the participants performing the task themselves.
The programme is built after we see how the team actually works. Where the gap is knowledge, we teach; where the gap is a missing document or an unclear authority, we say so, because no amount of training fixes a system that was never designed.
Who this is for
This package is for a company with a finance team that is doing its best inside a system it was never taught: entries that are technically posted but inconsistently coded, an ERP used as an expensive ledger, reports assembled by hand every month.
It also fits a company that has just had a system built or a set of periods closed, and wants the people who will run it from now on to be genuinely able to.
What we do
Applied workshops
Short sessions on the work the team does every day: the documentary cycle, stock movements and counts, reconciliations, closing a period, and handling the exceptions that cause most errors. Each session ends with the participants performing the task on live data under supervision.
Training on ERP systems
Training on the system the company owns, not on a generic demonstration: how items are coded, how a document becomes an entry, which reports are reliable and which are misread, and what must never be edited after posting. Most companies use a fraction of what they already pay for.
Current accounting standards
The standards that actually affect the company’s figures — inventory measurement, revenue recognition, provisions, related parties — taught against the company’s own transactions rather than as theory. The test of the session is whether the team treats the next real transaction correctly.
Financial analysis skills
Reading the company’s own reports and saying what they mean: margin by branch or product, working capital and the cash it consumes, ageing, and the difference between a profitable period and a period with cash in it. A finance team that can explain a number is worth more than one that can only produce it.

Duration and engagement model
Duration: Set per company. The timeline follows the size of the business and the state of the records already kept, so it is measured during the assessment visit and fixed in writing in the scope of work — we do not estimate it before seeing the books.
Sessions are delivered on site, scheduled around the team’s workload, and sequenced so that each one builds on the task performed in the previous one.
Payments are staged against delivered sessions and the written procedures that come out of them. Where the assessment shows the real gap is a missing system rather than missing knowledge, we say so before any training is scheduled.
What is not included
- Professional certification or examination fees.
- ERP licences or implementation work.
- Recruiting or assessing candidates for hire.
- Doing the team’s ongoing work — that is Bookkeeping or Oversight & Review.
Stated up front so a proposal never contains a surprise. Each of these is either a separate package or somebody else’s work.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the training on our system or a generic one?
- On yours, using your own accounts and documents. A generic demonstration does not transfer to the screen the team works on every day.
- Do you issue certificates?
- We issue a written assessment per participant against the tasks covered. Professional certification is awarded by professional bodies, not by us.
- How many people can attend?
- The sessions are hands-on, so group size is agreed in the proposal against the number of workstations available. Everyone attending performs the task themselves.
- What if training shows the system itself is the problem?
- We report that plainly and stop scheduling sessions that cannot help. The right starting point is then the Foundation Package.
